Threats to democracy are one of the most critical challenges today. All types of inequalities, the climate crisis, the pandemic and populism fuel a generalized uncertainty that erodes the normative foundations of democracy and limits citizens’ trust in democratic institutions. What are the dangers that democracy faces? How can they be dealt with? Are we experiencing the end of democracy or its rebirth?
